The North Orem Soccer Park is a great place to start recovery day runs as the grass loop and Murdock Canal are relatively flat courses on soft surfaces that are easy on the body. The Sojourners Running Club meets here for some of their weekly group runs. |
1. North Orem Grass Loop - Map |
This variable distance grass loop offers 5.5+ miles without having to loop the same field twice. Great soft surface training to give your body a break or strengthen those ankles. |
2. Murdock Canal North - Map |
Run North on the dirt next to the cool Murdock Canal 10.5 miles one way (that's a 21 mile out & back long run) passing Oak Canyon Jr. High, the Mt. Timpanogos temple and ending near Lone Peak High School. Trail cuts out but picks up on the other side of the golf course. |
3. Murdock Canal South |
Heads out to the 8th North paved trail section where you can connect to the Provo Canyon trails. |
4. Connector to Bonneville Shoreline Trail - Map |
Boneville connector trailhead starts faintly at the intersection of 800 East & 1600 North just after the big paved hill and heads up to the trail. It's a great alternative to running up the steep asphalt. It's the green line on this map. |
